I'm a total 80's nut, too. I have tons of those 80's music collection CD's and I collect scratch-n-sniff stickers and Strawberry Shortcake minis (they still smell!)

Here are some of my favorite things from the 80's:

1. Scratch-n-sniff stickers. I have a MASSIVE collection. My favorite stickers are Trend (popcorn, skunk and pizza are some favorites), Mello Smello (I LOVE the jelly bean ones!) and Gordy International (especially Apple Pie, Spaghetti and Bakery).

2. The clothes! (Yes, I freely admit I loved them and I buy old 1985-1990 'Teen and Seventeen magazines off eBay just to see them again!)

3. Hightop Reebok Freestyles in colors like red (my fave), blue and purple, and pastels.

4. The TV Shows. I watch Nick and Nite religiously. Heh. I wish they'd put The Facts of Life back on and I wish they'd have Silver Spoons and a few others.

5. Cabbage Patch Kids. (Yeah, they were ugly, but I loved them. Parents couldn't afford them so I bought one off eBay a couple of years ago)

6. Swatch Watches (My grandfather bought me a Vasilly for Christmas. I REALLY wanted a McGregor but I didn't want to hurt his feelings. I had two Swatch Guard Too's twisted together on it... pink and white.)

7. The movies! I love (and still watch all the time) The Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, Pretty in Pink, Valley Girl, Gremlins, The Goonies... the list goes on.

8. The MUSIC! This one should have been further up on the list. My FAVORITE 80's song is Rock Me, Amadeus by Falco. They used to play that at the roller rink every week and I still dream of learning to roller skate to it. My parents (remember, they were poor, LOL) were afraid I'd break my leg skating and cause them to have a huge hostpial bill and we didn't have insurance)

9. Jelly bracelets (I wish I could find some VINTAGE 80's ones on eBay. Now it's new ones and the colors are different.)

10. Jelly shoes. Had a bunch of them, they were cheap!

11. Plastic charm necklaces. I had one, but it didn't have many charms. I now have a nice collection via eBay (can you tell I like auctions now?) and I have about 150 charms. I still need a toilet bowl charm but I have several baby bottles, which were my favorite charm.

12. Pac-man scratch off game cards and stickers. My friends and I LOVED these things. The stickers went all over everything I had and the scratch-off games were SO much fun!

13. Garbage Pail Kids. My parents hated these but my grandfather bought a few packs for me anyway. Hehe.

14. Plastic sunglasses that looked like vents. I couldn't see a thing when I wore them but I looked cool as hell! Mine were red. I haven't been able to find any of these anywhere!

15. Plastic coil bracelets. I bought some of the new ones off the big E but they're just not the same. I think they're skinnier than they used to be.

16. Stickers Magazine (later became Stickers & Stuff). Does anyone remember this? I have the first 11 issues in the closet.

17. Gummi Bears jewelry by Sugar Rush Bears. I SO wanted some of this but I could only find it for sale mailorder in magazines and my parents never got around to ordering it.

18. The cartoons. I miss the Smurfs, the Snorks, Monchichi, Kissyfur, Transformers, He-Man, She-Ra... oh lord, Saturday morning TV was pure HEAVEN back then!

19. The dances. It was so much more fun back then! Breakdancing was the coolest thing I'd ever seen done to music! (hey, I was just a kid at the time) LOL

20. The toys. There were so many I loved besides Cabbage Patch. Strawberry Shortcake, Teddy Ruxpin (no, he didn't scare me like he scared some kids!), Get in Shape, Girl!, Rubix Cube (and the link and pyramid, too), Transformers, Pound Puppies, Popples... OMG this list is embarrasingly long!

Well, I've got a kid wanting some food so I have to go, but this list would be HUGE if I had the time. I'm so crazy about the 80's.

The 90's were pretty cool, too, but I only had a few teen years to enjoy those. If you were a teen in the 90's, you gotta love those 80's!
