ok now..
i've been bumping into this image repeatedly in the past few days with accompanying walls of text or just coelho-esque sighs about "this is what we have became" "zuckerberg evil" "orwell was right" and other shit.
i fail to see what the big deal is. when i look at this picture, i have an impression of the fact that we live in a time when VR unexplainably kicks off again with now-decent qualities (ie. not sucking hobo ass like in the 90s), and a rich entrepreneur - ethics of his social network's data mining aside - gives a demonstration of which a VR headset is a vital part, and walks past the masses while they look at something. Probably i'm wrong since i know nothing about the context of this photo - just as the naysayers who immediately cry out the end of all humanity by this photo. for one, i am glad when i have a chance to test out modern VR stuff.
am i automatically becoming "sheeple" when i put on a VR headset? do i lost my integrity and free will once i don an oculus rift and i miraculously become a mindwashed corporate-branded robot by looking around in a simulated 3d rollercoaster demo for 3 minutes?
guess i'll never know
