All Trump has talked about is that the people applying legally should have an easier go of things. He believes in immigration reform. Just that there is no place for amnesty for illegals. The democrats this time around LOVE amnesty for illegals. It's basically a future guaranteed voter base for them.
Trump is going to end up doing extremely well in the general election with latinos I believe. I know that visa process very well and I know the general thinking of the people that are forced to go through it. The last thing they want is millions of people clogging up that system. It only will push their friends and family further down the line.
As I stated before the USA selects a certain number/% per country to be legally admitted. Clogging millions more into that system will only slow the process.
