I just read that...it was Trump's fathers company that he was president of that was sued in 1973. And it pretty much went nowhere. Back and forth between the Trump lawyers and the city's lawyers.
Trump "settled" without having to admit "guilt". But who knows? It was 1973. Over 40 years ago and Trump was a young man in his 20's. Maybe he was racist then? People aren't exactly fully mature acting in their 20's. Shit I said and did back in my 20's makes me cringe! lol
But that was kind of an opinon piece that you linked to.
The guy writes this:

That whole piece of quoted text just makes my eyes roll back at the sheer ridiculousness of it creating a "firestorm" because a man says he has "a great relationship with the blacks".
WTF?
Because he said "THE blacks"?
The guy is from Queens for fuck's sake. That's how they talk. If he had been referring to Jews he would say "The Jews". If he was talking about Italians he would say "The Italians".
The political correctness insanity in this country is just another reason that people like Trump. lol
