You are trying to compare paid US medicine and free medicine in Europe. That's absolutely incorrect because here in Europe we have a paid medicine as well. You can wait in a line for a free medicine in municipal clinic, or you can get all the procedures done for money in a paid clinic.

As you have mentioned MRI, let's speak about "the service for the amount of money we pay." My wife had headaches and a few days ago she has decided to do MRI and went to a paid clinic. She did two separate MRI procedures: one for brain and another for cervical spine. A standard cost for every procedure is 3500 RUB, but since she did both, there was a discount, so the total price was 6000 RUB. If you convert it to USD (1 USD = 75 RUB), you'll discover it's only $80 USD. That's the price of two MRI procedures, including a DVD disc with the MRI data, plus a complete medical report on paper (the description and explanation of MRI results by a doctor). Man, that's only $80 USD for ALL in a commercial clinic (no medical direction from a therapeutist, no lines, no waiting, personal management etc). Now go compare it to the US prices and tell me they have a better paid medical service for the same price.

And take in mind that we don't have to pay for obamacare. Only a mandatory medical insurance which is free for every citizen: no fees and doesn't matter if you have a job or not.
