I just saw Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone on CNN.
He obviously is no Trump fan.
But he said something that I have been wondering about myself.
He said the press only reported the "race baiting" stuff of Trump wanting to ban Muslims and deport illegal Mexicans.
But he said that he has been covering Trump and watching his speeches. He said that stuff amounts to "very little" of what Trump speaks about.
He said Trump's speeches are far more populist and talk mostly about corruption in govt. and the media.
And you know what? He's 100% right. I've been watching a lot of the candidates speeches. Not the soundbites the media plays and then an hour of the "analysts" telling you what they want you to think the candidate said.
But the actual speeches.
And that's why I don't agree with people on GFY talking about Trump being full of "hate" and being a "racist". His speeches have nothing to do with that.
I think he is connecting with the American people because they are sick and tired of being lied to and fucked over. THAT is what all of his stump speeches are about.
The media just doesn't report that.
And this morning Taibbi brought that up and the anchor agreed and said that he thinks the problem is that they are all trying to get big ratings.
