I don't know why search is not working for you. Maybe it's a newly registered thing.
But to answer your question there are two ways to go:
Use NATS (which has a monthly charge based on volume) and run everything through them. You can use multiple billers, cascade them, create new sites and affiliate programs, etc. But you also need your own merchant account, gateway and will have to handle customer service (and some other things, too).
Or if you don't want that much control, then CCBill with Epoch as a cascade works well (or vice versa). Bear in mind that extra processor will cost an additional $1000 yearly for Visa/MC.
The "advantage" to CCBill is their Affiliate Program. The "advantage" to Epoch is being able to process PayPal payments.
So, as always, many choices and it's up to you how involved you want to be in your own billing process. Verotel and NETbilling have different setups than CCBill and Epoch so you would have to explore those options.
