Man, actually I'm just kidding. The last time I've shot with AK-47
on open air was about 10 years ago. I'm not playing macho, I just say that a rifle shot sound has never been a problem to me if it was on open air (it's just not loud enough for my ears). Course in the indoor shooting galleries I do not shot w/o ear protection. When I was a kid, I did shot w/o ear protectors not because I felt so macho at 9 y/o. That's because it was Soviet Union and our sport club had not enough ear protectors for everybody. Those were very hard times actually. That's why I'm kidding on the new generation and call them pussies
BTW, I still have a 100% hearing, but I've got a slight nearsightedness when was shooting with a rifle (I hate guns with diopter sights after that) in a not well lighten shooting gallery when I was a teenager. I wish I was shooting in the modern Russian groceries instead ;)
