i have a home in Los Angeles and i've also researched police violence in-depth. Locally, i'm more likely to get shot (and killed) by LAPD than by a non-police person. the militarization of the police nationally is well-documented. police on citizen violence is more than fully-documented, it's been acknowledged as very real by even the police forces being scrutinized, both in the public and by the feds. cities as varied as chicago and albuquerque have recognized their own similar cop problems. those are not exaggerations and they certainly are not my opinion. those are simply SOME of the facts.
i'm not trying to sell you on the cop problem in America, because there is simply no need to, it doesn't matter if you realize it or not. i'm simply pointing out it's been fully realized by many of us.
