The reason why the CEO of Nike wants you to think that shoes would cost $300 a pair is that's what the price would have to be for him to keep is obscene salary. Someone already posted it in another thread, but western consumers are more conscious than ever about buying locally made products. The internet is only helping this trend. Combine that with the fact that China and other 3rd world countries can only sustain if they suppress the quality of life of their own people and I see this trend continuing.

nike revenue 30.000mil$ (30billion)
sounds like they do not have $$ for being a global player...273 shops world wide total?...nike has that just in our 3rd world shit hole...
if you are going to be a global player, you can not do it with production in the USA...
