Alleging harassment, the Paradise Valley Unified School District has taken legal action to keep a parent away from several district sites and several administrators.
The district on Thursday filed a workplace-harassment injunction against Irwin Jones, a northeast Phoenix father of three and president of the PBBC. The order, filed in Maricopa County Superior Court, is effective until May 3, 2019.
Jones' two youngest sons attend district schools. One is a senior at Shadow Mountain High School, the other a freshman at the Center for Research in Engineering, Science and Technology at Paradise Valley High.
The order describes Jones, 54, as "a danger" to 14 district employees. From Shadow Mountain, they are: Principal Mitch Von Gnechton and Assistant Principals Kristin Voll-Laound and Kathleen Alexander-Blue; attendance dean Jeremy Richard; athletic director Ron Safcik; and security guard Ken Shipman.
