there was a world traveler (an american guy.. or british?) who visited virtually every country of the world. he wrote his impressions afterwards about habits and folks everywhere. when he was asked which was the most hospitable, most welcoming country, he said it was Iran. he sat on a bus, an old iranian lady was staring at him, then started to talk in farsi. the guy obviously didn't understand a word, so the woman called her son, then gave the phone to the traveler dude. the son said "sorry, my mother can't speak english. she says you look tired and battered. please know that you are welcome to stay with our family for days, even weeks if necessary, we have started preparing a banquet for dinner". and this was his impression during his whole stay in that country. heartwarming story huh.
