would you work 5 months/year just to pay healthcare?

Well it appears that most people would:

Forbes: Annual healthcare costs for family of 4 in the USA

if the median salary in the US is at $52K and the cost for a family of 4 is $22K thats like 5 months/year working just for healthcare costs...

breakdown of the bill:
"Of the $22,030 healthcare cost for a family of four, the employer pays about $12,886 in employer subsidy while the employee pays the remaining $9,144, which is a combination of $5,544 in payroll deductions and $3,600 in employee out-of-pocket costs."

now one may argue that the employer pays for a good part, but I counter argue that the employee would get a bigger salary if the employer did not have to pay such a hefty chunk...also the cost is passed on to somebody else this in turn passes on costs to everybody else etc...
