There is a connection between Zika and the handicapped babies yesterday scientist from the USA confirmed. So i wouldn't take that risk.

That syndrome is nothing new, you can get that even with a small fever or any other infection. The things in the drinking water i would be worried about also in Brazil. I always get drinking water from bottles.
