Before we go after Clinton, let's talk about the State Department itself. Seems former Secretary of State Colin Powell and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice BOTH used personal emails to transmit classified information, and so did their staff. In fact, it seems this was common at the State Department. It's also not uncommon in Congress itself.

At the worst it seems she can be charged with "mishandling classified information". Generally speaking the only people ever charged with this is either people who intentionally leaked information (to the press or other governments), or people who were so careless with classified information that it was leaked (to the press or other governments). This is not the case here, there was no bad intention, there was no leak, and this was a common practice allowed by two other Secretaries Of State.

In order to be charged under the Espionage Act there has to be "intent" to injure the United States, and that is clearly not the case.

Let's just keep burning our tax dollars investigating this crap. I am completely serious here - Let's keep investigating. The Republican party's plan has been to make Clinton look bad over the email server and Benghazi. We've have ten different investigations into Benghazi and not one of them have shown Clinton did anything wrong. The email server investigation is more of the same - there was no intention to leak information, no information was leaked, there is no law that says the Secretary Of State cannot use her own email server, and it was common practice to do so being as at least two other former Secretaries Of State did the same exact thing.
One thing I saw in the article I read today is that they are using these emails to see if Clinton inappropriately used her position of power or access to other people in power to benefit her or Bill or Chelsea financially. In the article it says, "On Sunday, he told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that the investigation is now focusing on possible violations involving Clinton, "coordinating her activities and President Clinton's activities and Chelsea's activities in the Clinton Foundation," and that this new avenue of inquiry may require until 2017 to reach resolution." I'm not sure what she did here that is legal or illegal, but the article, as well as many experts, are starting to say that it looks like Clinton fucked up a little bit, but not enough for major trouble, and now the republicans are doing anything they can to damage her politically.

My prediction is that there will never be an indictment. If Hillary wins the White House she and change the classification on any documents she wants and use her powers to squash any other investigation. If she loses then she will move on to private life and if President Trump continues to go after her it would likely look like a waste of time and money so I wouldn't be shocked to see it all just get dropped.
