Paul Markham, how about you ? Wouldnt you say that this happened because Iraq government (probably) doesnt have mass surveillance aparatus ? (long live always safe United Kingdom )
It has nothing to do with mass surveillance apparatus. It's about culture. People in the ME have been fighting tribal wars for longer than they could write about them.

Of course in a civilised country, like the UK, they're a good tool to protect the innocent and prosecute the guilty.

Why are you worried about them?
