Ck doesn't have a ad campaign that spans forty years. Ad campaigns don't span years and ck runs plenty of non controversial ads, that's why we're discussing this one and not the dozens of other ads they run.

Besides, what you claimed is ck is the king of viral marketing and that's just not the case because viral marketing is simply word of mouth marketing and there are plenty of huge times of word of mouth marketing. Far bigger than selling some jeans.
Facebook comes to mind for word of mouth marketing that's leaps and bound s more impressive than anything ck did.
