La Haine is a masterpiece in my eyes. Vincent - and I believe all the actors - are using their own names in this movie. Along with Pulp Fiction and Natural Born Killers this was the movie we were watching at all parties when I was in high school.
Watch it with subtitles!!! The french voices are awesome, however it can be that for some it might be annoying. :P
