I have no problem with him seeing the mistakes he made in the past thinking invading foreign countries turns out for the better. It's not that there's a lack of evidence that wars in the last 60 years have ended up with the US on the losing side.
Korea. Would the US be any worse off if S. Korea had been taken over by the Kims? It would mean one less competitor to make cheap goods.
Vietnam, same as above. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and everywhere else. Even Cuba the politicians fucked up. Cubans wanted to out the corrupt rulers supported by the US. Politicians didn't like the decisions of the people, so created an enemy on their doorstep. So instead of being friends and buying goods giving Cubans a taste of wealth and the benefits of capitalism. They gave Communism a solid start.
