Three things threaten the lifestyle of the West.
1. Imports. Our wealth was built by manufacturing and exporting. Or conquering and exploiting with the profits coming back to the West. No guilt should be attached to either it's been the way to get ahead since Man walked out of Africa.
Back then all the money made was spent in the West, there was little point in the money going back. Today the Wealth is flowing out of the West into the Third World. It's a steady flow with no signs of stopping.
2. Migration. During the last 70 years the West has allowed millions to migrate in. After WW2 there was a need for more men to do jobs that were once done by men who had fallen in 2 World Wars. After 1965 there was no excuse for mass migration. But it has picked up speed. In the UK 12% of the population are foreign-born, add Second Generation and the pressure is enormous. Add Jobs flowing East and the inevitable is Revolution.
3. Population Explosion. With jobs flowing East, disappearing due to automation and becoming more high skilled. Rising population numbers, produces more unemployed, lower wages, more needs for benefits and a lower standard of living. Leading to higher crime rates.
And who is benefitting the most from this? Examine the Wealth gap between the very rich and the rest. Over the last 60 years.
This indicates clearly the intentions of the Right unless the very Rich are all Socialists.
All the above factors have made the 1% very, rich, the 0.5% extremely rich. While fooling the rest with cheap consumer goods.
Businessmen could stop mass migration today, by not employing illegals or migrants. They don't. They give jobs to those who will work for lowest wages. Amassing huge fortunes that they minimise their taxes on.
Google are a prime example. They expect to sell their services World Wide. Most importantly in the US and the EU to the citizens. They don't expect to pay the taxes those people pay. Contribute towards the Public Services, help Government balance their budgets, fund schools, hospitals, justice, etc. They want to get all the sales, skilled workers, without funding what has made them rich. They should be told pay our taxes or don't sell to us.
As I said look at the figures long term and see where it's going. Anyone that thinks our lives are shaped by the Left has been brainwashed. And I suspect the OP is one of the bottom 40% who thinks the 1% are going to let him climb the ladder to join them.
