Affiliates are the last thing you need to be thinking about. In my opinion everybody with a pay product needs to worry about how to get their own traffic. If you can't manage that then you have to look to partner or hire someone who can or get out of the business.
If you build up your traffic sources and branding you will naturally attract affiliates with the ability to sell your product. So you can solve both your problems by working on one of them.
What is the site you are trying to get traffic to? What have you tried?

This is fantastic, thank you Shap. OK, well my site's making money, I film regular & have 12k twitter followers, they either take membership to my paysite nataliek.xxx or they watch the movies as clips at my profiles on clip sites like youkandy, adultwork & clips4sale. I make a living & my partner & I live well from the income. In the meantime, i'd have just wanted more affiliates, more sales, more traffic as I only have my own traffic daily, bringing in sales.
I'll work harder at tweeting & maybe raise more awareness to my free blog, which in turn could bring more traffic to my pay site, I take it this would also be classed as quality traffic
Thank you for being such a great industry person, especially with your intellect in the business
