Cost you maybe $150? The datacenter can mail you back the drive. Maybe you can do this in Germany or nearby and hand deliver the drive yourself. That is when time is worth more than money to you.

You would have the server bill to deal with so it is an ROI thing too.
Multiple backups and a distribution server with RAID; this costs less, in real terms, today than 5 maintained file cabinets did in 1966
