Fred: Wizcrafts maintains a regularly updated list of Chinese IP's that you can apply to your firewall rules (Linux IPtables)
URL:
Block Chinese and Korean IP Addresses with a Linux Iptables Blocklist
Alternatively, you can pay $104 / yr to have wget access to Wizcraft's regularly updated IPTables blocklists. (See the yellow highlighted area after the list of IP's)
What this means is that your host could use a bash script and cron to download the list regularly and apply them to your Linux IPTables firewall. Thus, it's an automated block list.
This will block Chinese based IP's right at the firewall.
Another alternative would be cloudflare, which lets you block entire countries by country code.
