Even though 2257 was a huge political abuse of power by US Republicans, I'm finding websites where we can "sell" content, those sites that don't just give it away free as "advertising," are coming up with even more strict rules than 2257 ever had!
Are other countries coming up with these rules??
* One site wants the model's ID to be valid as of "today's date"! 2257 was about an ID being valid on the "date of shooting". Since most Passports are 10 years, and US State Driver's Licenses expire in 4 to 5 years, that rule means a lot of good stuff shot during the 2008-2012 Recession, when models were hot to look for work, are not going to be accepted anymore! And there's NO legal "2257" reason!
* Sites are wanting a photo of the model holding their ID to their face. Not required by 2257.
* A site wants a photo of the "reverse side" of a model's ID. Not required by 2257.
Yet, sites claim that their rules are due to US 2257, not because of a British law, European Union law, or any other country's law!
Very frustrating.
