You would be right if these kind of mass shootings were only committed by Terrorists. This guy had a history of being violent. So far he has no link to Terrorist groups. He's just another crazy guy who can walk into a shop and buy guns.
It seems no one in the bar was able to identify him. But on this you're right there should be far more security on clubs, bars, malls, stadiums, workplaces, schools, colleges, streets, in fact anywhere people gather.
To as you say identify the crazies with guns. So American gun loving red necks don't shoot people.
