For mass killing, an AR-15 is not the weapon to use. Look at the stats; Orlando, 102 people shot and only 49 killed. San Bernardino, with 2 AR-15s, 36 people shot and 14 killed.
The AR-15 uses .223 rounds which is meant to maim more so than to kill. The idea is that when you hit one soldier, you take 2 to 3 soldiers out of the fight because the soldier that got shot is yelling and screaming for help thereby getting 1 or 2 other solders to help. Soldiers helping the wounded can't fight.
