Paul, it's hard to buy PPC (pay per click) ads in porn. Click fraud is an issue too

We buy AdWords CPC for cams -- Google is ok with that (ads for adult cams) but the CPC keeps going up. Directive advertising has high conversion rates. Most web ads do not. Why do you think GOOGL is worth what it is?

Did you know that the CPC for domain registration AdWords is $10 to $15 a click now WTF? Even if 1 in 3 register that may generate only $20 a year in revenue. Maybe the average account acquisition is more like $100 per/year? IDK but even if that is true that advertising cost is huge.

Ad blockers affect 3rd party ads -- I buy ads served direct on websites with good traffic volume.
