Otherwise I thought it was a parking brake issue.

If it was because of the defect, his family is going to get mega bucks. Unless the lawyers can prove that the owner of the car had prior knowledge of the defect and didn't bring the car in during the recall? LOL Interesting to see where this shit lands.
