TIL Charlie Chaplin was a Benny Hill fan, along with Michael Jackson, Burt Reynolds, Michael Caine, John Mortimer, Mickey Rooney and Walter Cronkite. Hill was awarded the Charlie Chaplin International Award for Comedy at the 1991 Festival of Comedy in Vevey, Switzerland.
