They can talk but it won't happen, both countries would have to leave the union - in Northern Ireland, that would reignite the troubles - and then have to reapply to join the EU and they'll find that the rules they'll have to accept would be a hell of a lot stronger than we had previously. For example they would have to accept the euro.
Also, that knob Sturgeon hasn't considered that a break from the UK might start terrorism there too, there's a lot of protestant/catholic rivalry up there (Rangers and Celtic for example), its just currently a bit more good natured but could change.
Also don't forget that almost 40% did vote to leave in Scotland, a minority but still a sizable chunk in anyone's book.
