Republicans are fleeing from Trump like rats off the Titanic. It's every man/woman for themselves at this point. It's grab a lifeboat and save your down ballot election.
Trump thinks he's going to solicit donations from his base if he can't line up big donors whom he's already told to go fuck off for the past year. Here is the problem. His base is uneducated white people with bills to pay who don't have money to spare as it is.
If there is anything I have learned about white rednecks, they might buy you a beer if you sit next to them at the bar and let them ramble on about black people and mexicans for half an hour, but ask them to give you $100 and your cutting into the Natural Light and Marlboro money. Let alone them being intelligent enough to use a credit card online or setup a paypal account.
The reason Sanders supporters got so much money into the campaign is because college kids don't have money. They get free credit cards at school for filling out a form at the football game and you get a free tshirt.
