I have personally met and spoken with 5 or 6 survivors of the Nazi concentration camps. One was a friend of my father's. My father was with the US Army troops that liberated Buchenwald.

Every person that I met that had survived those camps reacted differently. Most were either vindictive or still living in disbelief of what they saw and lived through. Their joy in life was taken -- they were very unhappy people.

Elie Wiesel was their angel of revenge however he was not their deliverer.
