If you haven't already done this, you might want to make sure you've got a sitemap generator install under wordpress with a plugin like
Yoast SEO or something else that let's you make sitemaps on the fly.
Then plug that sitemap into your webmaster tools account, that will help speed up the process of cleaning stuff up that's been deleted or so I've been told
