Instead I went to a local repair shop. I bought a new phone case (my phone is old so they are cheap!) and a new battery, and did a complete reboot to factory specs. I downloaded the APPs I used the most, a new background.... And frankly it's just like having a brand new phone.
You can say the same with computers. My computer is now five years old, but frankly it's still as fast as the newest ones on the market. Instead of buying a new one I might just add in a SSD and be done with it.
