please, like all old british ladies aren't tanked on gin by 11 am?
for real though, guess it's a function of being old but I can actually recall a time when peeps on both 'sides' could actually debate, respectfully. for mutual benefit. hell, I'm left as fuck but growing up Dalton Camp (a CA Tory) was one of my fav writers. Agreed with him sometimes, disagreed with him far more frequently but he communicated his position with ethics and judgement and wisdom. And I learned a lot from him.
Think I have a bit of a diff perspective due to location as well, really feel like an outsider now looking at US/CA politics because the system here is so different. not better, mind ya, just, very different.
Have no idea how politics on the NA landmass turned into a side show. I know how it happened, just amazed that people let it occur, and participate in the polarization
who can yell the loudest, who has the most money to throw at the machine to catch the brass ring. there are reasonable people on all 'sides' and respectfully bewildered as to how the whole 'libtard'/'conservative-crackpot' ish has taken over some really important debate.
not trying to be a bitch here, just posting a genuine comment
