I've sold domains for the last 14 years mainly mainstream and made some good $. Whenever I launch one of my own sites however I've always been able to think up or use a domain generator to find something pretty decent that works for $8. So I've sold domains anywhere from $300-100k+ but the most I've ever spent to buy one for myself is $50-$100.
