Today the US imports far too much, the number of decent jobs is shrinking. Where once were thriving neighbourhoods there are now slums and area rife with gangs and people with little future. Because it's been getting bad for a long time and will continue to worsen unless Americans are willing to change.
The notion that building China up with American jobs is a good thing, shows how bad it is. Same goes for everyone Third World Country. They will never be major customers unless you're a banker and eventually they will own our banks.
How much does Trump owe to the banks US and overseas? They will tell him what they want. And it has nothing to do with reducing debt, they're the people that created most of it.

You do know that Our strategy in the U.S. is to save resources so when they are scarce we can hold our own and dominate.
It's kind of like a booty call, being nicer than you normally would because you want to fuck them, knowing they'll be your bitch in the long run
