They are OUR servants. Not the other way around. You shouldn't disrespect them just as you wouldn't disrespect anyone else trying to do their job, but there's no need to walk on eggshells in their presence -- or at least there shouldn't be. I'll reiterate....COPS are servants of the public. They represent authority, but they sure as fuck are not the boss of the citizens of the US.

I lived in Austrailia for 5 years and spent a lot of time in other countries (weeks/months)
The police in Oz are non dominant pro citizen. You don't have speed traps every few miles where a cop is there to play the "gotcha" scheme to make money for the city, etc.
Coming back to the U.S. after all those years you see how others live and what's REALLY wrong with where things are going in our country. Police brutally and dominance over its citizens is one huge thing that if we don't turn things back now we'll be in an even worse position with pacified masses 10-20 years from now
