when i used to date, i expected the guy to pick up the first tab. after that, if we kept seeing each other, we could take turns but not split the check. that is nasty.
on the other hand, if one is in a relationship, it's not unreasonable that if one person makes a lot more money, they could pay for the more expensive dinners.
