Automation, export of jobs to the Thirls World and population numbers are having a terrible effect on the West and the living standards of the majority.
If we carry on as we are, there will be a revolution at the ballot box. Maybe a very left wing government. French, Russians, Cubans were better off after the revolution than before, ignore the initial period. Yes compared to the West they weren't. But compared to what they suffered before it was a huge improvement.
How many of the top 20% are seeing their incomes increase in pace with costs? These will be the next sector to suffer as China takes their jobs. Even the Bankers will suffer.
Or the well off must pay a lot more in taxes. How much extra is debatable, but it will be a large hike. To pay more out in unemployment benefits, housing, healthcare, education, police, etc. To stop the lower end voting in a Socialist Government.
Europe is going to the Right because the Left is dedicated to making the working class in prosperous countries poorer.
Allowing more poor people into a declining system is stupid. Just more noses in the trough.
