Not fascist but Nazi... But that does not make any difference, the Russian perception is still the same ( except in the pre war Soviet era when Stalin firmly starved Ukraine into submission) Ukraine was always taken by Russians as the "fifth column with a dagger" in the soft underbelly of Russia. This of course is NOT without a reason. Thorough the history this always was the case. Now the for EU faction ( read in Russia- for Germany, for NATO for USA) has won for now and is sharpenning the knives again. That is why Putin wants all territories with predominantly Russian population back to mother Russia.... No different then any other indepndence movements like the Scotts, the Irish, the Basks, the Slovaks and the list goes on.
