Turns out the recently released photos of Melania Trump was taken while she was under this visa. Melania was hired in 1995 as a model, and the photos were taken in Manhattan. In fact, it was impossible for Melania to legally work in the United States because her native Slovenia was not part of the State Department?s visa waiver program until 1997.
She violated her visa, which means she lied on her application for a green card. If you lie on your application for a green card, well, you get deported. It doesn't seem to matter if you are married to an American or not.
