If you know your history, you know that in a prliamentary democracy ( which Germany Weimar republic then was), the party with most votes gets to form the goverment and its leader is automatically the first minister. Under the presidential rule at that time Hindenburg did not like the "little Bohemian corporal" and have initially refused to appoint Hitler a chancellor even though Hitler was constitutionally entitled, but then von Papen and his cronies "leaned" on him and Hindenburg relented. That is why Hitler was freely elected chancellor.
My point 1 was that a strong willed leader will outmanoeuvre all his opponents as Trump already have done
Point 2 was ( as seen in the news clipping) the Western media has written Hitler off because they all felt such a demagogue could not be elected in such civilized country as Germany was and all have written Hitler off ( just as this OP thinks Trump is done for).
