I used to use only Windows up until 2008 when I finally caved in and looked at Apple and OS/X. Sooo much better. So clean, so easy to use, etc. Been using Apple products ever since.
Last year I had to buy a PC, so I bought the best I could afford : An Alienware Area 51, with an SSD and super-fast everything. And Windows 10.
UGH.
The machine is fast, and the Windows 10 interface is actually pretty nice. The programs I need run well enough, etc, but. Even with my router, and even with all the firewall anti virus security stuff enable, it's still gets infected. I've already had to re-install the OS twice this year.
And yep - the webcam no longer works.
Meanwhile, my oldest Mac is now over 7 years old, and still working like a champ. The only problem I had with it was a failing HD which I swapped for an SSD drive.
My only complaint about Apple is that now that I'm in the market for a super-fast machine, Apple's Mac Pro is pretty expensive considering the alternatives. I hope Apple comes out with a new version soon.
