The media, Democrats, and Republicans will scour through his tax returns and do whatever they can to say look, he didn't pay enough taxes, give enough to charity, or whatever to damage him as a candidate. If I was advising a wealthy man running for President, i would say don't release them. It can only hurt you when everyone in power is trying to destroy you.
What if we found out his opponent was corrupt? Selling access and destroying emails in a cover up? It's no big deal. Trump jokes about a baby crying, and it is a horrible crime. Never release anything. I know it's frustrating when you want to bring a guy down and he won't help you.
