if somebody signed a contract for that phone, the cops will trace it. They won't give you the info as that is a privacy concern - well, it is in NZ anyway - but they will deal with the problem.

My ex and I had a similar problem with a landline years back - not as extreme as your calls I'll admit. But, we didn't have caller ID, but we just wrote down every single time a call was made to us and then the cops went to telecom and got the call logs.

They dealt with the problem.
But you guys in NZ have a decent phone system. The system here in Aus is a fucking joke. The US uses Newzealand to try out all their new phone and telecom technology before they implement it in the US.
