Comparing the amount of people who attend political rallies versus the number of people in the general voting public is like comparing a handful of sand vs a beach. It's not a viable metric because only a small percentage of citizens will ever attend a rally.
Even if Trump is drawing massive crowds in blue states -- which he might be -- doesn't matter. Did Bernie Sander's MASSIVE crowds matter? Everyone I know is voting for Hillary Clinton. None of them have been to a rally. I know four people who have been to Trump rallies just because they wanted to see the sideshow -- not particulary because they support him. His rallies are combination of the local angry white people, confused dipshits and people who want to say they saw the trainwreck when it came to their town.
