There is no reason the moon landings couldn't have happened. It was technologically possible for 1969 to posses the skills to make it happen. Did they fake the first mission? Maybe they did, but either way they eventually got someone there.
It is a bit contradictory for the conspiracy people to say the moon landings never happened but now say they've had moon bases and space weapons and whatever else for a long time.
