show would be much, much better if the main character wasn't such a whining self pitying bore. With his inner dialogue that sounds like it was written by a high school goth kid.
Scenes that are meant to be "powerful" are extremely simplistic, example is the following speech. This is what everyone in their teens already know and say - it's so obvious and not controversial anymore at all (maybe in the 50s it was) that it's powerless. It's not edgy, refreshing or original. Yet it's meant to be a 'wow!' moment.
Cringeworthy.
Another thing they overdo in the show are the long delusion scenes. Yes, we know he's hallucinating. Why waste time with those scenes almost every single episode. Bathroom break moments because it's so uninteresting and not related to the story. Boring fillers.
Anyway, because i do like the story (whenever it has a chance to pick up in the increasingly messy episodes), i watched season 1 and the start of season 2.
Then i stopped watching altogether: Nail in the coffin for me was the censoring of the word 'fuck'. In a particular episode in season 2 it's a lot in the dialogue. I wouldn't even notice it if it wasn't censored all the time. But because they mute it, they put the emphasis on the censoring of it. It's so stupid and extremely distracting that that was it for me. Makes it completely unwatchable. I don't get how you guys in the US do it with the excessive censorship you have. If it's censored i don't watch it.
