I disagree - it is because the feelings of the existing population has not been recognised that we now have a rise in the power of the right.
If people were not feeling threatened then they would not vote for the parties of the right.
Enshrine their culture in law and they wont feel that it is being eroded and that they have lost their country to immigrants who do not look like them, sound like them, or have anything in common with them.
This is the lesson from the Brexit vote, right wing ideology gains a foot hold when ordinary citizens are afraid.
And yes the principal of adhere to our rules and values or find somewhere else should definitely be applied.
